The "Golden Ribbon" Illuminated Hearts at the European Parliament - The Works of Children from the Pediatric Oncology Unit

An art exhibition entitled "Golden Ribbon", featuring works by children from the Pediatric Oncology Unit of Makarios Hospital, took place at the European Parliament. The exhibition was organized by MEP Lucas Fourlas in collaboration with the "Small Heroes" Foundation and the Pan-Cypriot Association of Parents and Friends of the Pediatric Oncology Unit. Mr. Fourlas emphasized that the children's artworks convey strong feelings of strength, courage and hope, while the exhibition was held in memory of Irida Violaris. The paintings depicted brave faces, families who did not give up, and the work of doctors and nurses. Former Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakidou expressed her admiration for Mr. Fourlas' initiative and stressed that the children's artworks radiate light and imagination. The exhibition will also take place in Cyprus. This initiative is an important step in raising awareness about childhood oncology and the need to support children and families facing this difficult battle.
