The Forgotten Priesthood of Magdalene

New research highlights the significant, yet often overlooked, role of Mary Magdalene in early Christianity. According to the study, Mary Magdalene was not merely a follower of Jesus, but held a mystical role and was considered by many to be the "holy grail," the source of divine knowledge. This concept has been preserved in popular culture and popularized by authors like Dan Brown. The research suggests that Mary Magdalene is connected to the archetype of the sacred feminine, which held a prominent position in early Christianity. This concept encompassed inner teaching, the journey of self-discovery, and the deeper aspects of the soul and salvation. However, this practice did not spread widely due to the lack of hierarchies and authorities. A return to a more balanced view of the feminine element in Christianity could contribute to understanding the importance of birth, gestation, and the source of life. The research contrasts the "V" shape, symbolizing the feminine, with the "Λ" shape, symbolizing the masculine, and argues that the union of the two creates the Star of David, a symbol of human completeness. Furthermore, the research notes that when the verbal transmission of the word of God was insufficient, there was a non-verbal initiation process focused on remembrance, empathy, and the search for answers within the individual, through nature and the cycles of life. These teachings, primarily oral, did not become "Gospels" but remained within inner groups and practices.
