The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, will submit a comprehensive proposal to Maria Angela Olguin and Tufan Erciyurman during their meeting today, regarding the resumption of negotiations on the Cyprus issue. The proposal will be linked to the implementation of confidence-building measures. Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis stated that Ms. Olguin's disappointment is due to a desire for progress, which is also their own. He expressed confidence that an expanded conference is necessary and should be convened, and that the approach followed last year with Mr. Tatar should be repeated.
