Terror for ERT Correspondents in Lebanon – Explosion Near Crew in the 'Red Zone'

An explosion occurred near the ERTnews crew and other international media covering the bombed bridges in Lebanon from Israel, on Monday afternoon (23/3). The journalists experienced moments of terror and were luckily unharmed. ERTnews correspondent Adamantia Lioliou was in the 'red zone' of southern Lebanon, hours after the destruction of the Kasmiyeh bridge by Israeli airstrikes. With the constant sound of fighter jets overhead and under the threat of new strikes, she broadcast live the image of the area that has become a battlefield. The explosion occurred while Lioliou was reporting on the damage to the bridges, which has cut Lebanon in two. The incident highlights the dangers faced by journalists covering war zones.
