Tension Between Russia and France After Drone Reportedly Targeted Aircraft Carrier

Tension is rising between Russia and France after reports that a Russian drone targeted the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle while it was in the port of Malmö, Sweden, for a NATO exercise. According to Swedish military sources, the drone was launched from a Russian ship and locked onto the aircraft carrier for several minutes. Authorities immediately initiated jamming procedures. It is not yet known whether the drone crashed or returned to the Russian ship. The Charles de Gaulle is the only nuclear-powered aircraft carrier outside the US and docked in Sweden for the first time.
