Taxi Drivers Declare 24-Hour Strike in Cyprus

Published January 20, 2026, 05:20

Taxi drivers in Cyprus have announced a 24-hour strike, starting at 6:00 AM on Tuesday and ending at 6:00 AM on Wednesday. The strike is a result of the lack of response from relevant authorities following a previous four-hour work stoppage. They threaten an indefinite strike from January 27th if their concerns are not addressed. Taxi ranks at Larnaca and Paphos airports, as well as in Limassol, will be the gathering points during the strike.
