Occupied Territories: Turkey Installs Radar Stations for Maritime Surveillance

Turkey has announced the construction of maritime surveillance stations in the occupied territories as part of the “Eastern Mediterranean Ship Traffic Services” project. Stations have already been built in Karpasia, Agios Theodoros, and Livera, while work continues on installing a central control station in Famagusta. The purpose is 24-hour monitoring of maritime traffic in the area, with data collected from radar and Automatic Identification Systems, which will be transferred to Turkey. This move is considered to serve Turkey's interests in the region.
