Sophisticated Bank Robbery in Germany Yields €30 Million Loot

A highly organized robbery took place at a bank in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, with an estimated loot of €30 million. The perpetrators used a drill to create a hole in the wall from a nearby parking lot and emptied approximately 3,200 safety deposit boxes. Police believe the robbers had knowledge of the bank's security systems and layout, and the car used was equipped with stolen license plates. Customer compensation is expected to reach €33.9 million, as each box is insured for at least €10,300.
