The article examines new political dynamics in Cyprus, beyond the simple dismissal of existing institutions. It focuses on the concepts of social and political mobility as analytical tools. Social mobility refers to changes in social position, while political mobility concerns access to political representation. The article argues that Cypriot society is characterized by limited opportunities for advancement and fear of deterioration. Access to the political arena is often restricted by parties and networks, making participation a privilege for a few. This analysis offers a new perspective for understanding political changes in Cyprus, beyond traditional interpretations.
