Snow and Frost Grip Europe - At Least 5 Dead in France

Severe weather is impacting Europe, with snow and frost causing significant disruption to transport and tragic consequences. In France, at least five people have died in road accidents due to icy conditions. Airlines are being forced to cancel flights to and from Paris airports, while problems are also being experienced with rail and road transport, particularly in the north and west of the country. The United Kingdom experienced its coldest night of the winter so far, with temperatures dropping to -12.5°C in the Norfolk area. A warning (level 1 and 2) has been issued for snow and ice across the country. In Hungary, authorities have urged citizens to avoid travel as snowfall has disrupted road and rail transport. In the Netherlands, rail traffic was completely suspended early in the morning, with a limited number of trains later running. 400 flights have been cancelled at Amsterdam-Schiphol airport, and further snowfall is expected tomorrow, which is likely to worsen the situation.
