Μέσα στον θόρυβο για τα μη εξυπηρετούμενα δάνεια και τις εκποιήσεις, ακούγονται οι φωνές όσων διεκδικούν προστασία δίκαιός ή αδίκως και λείπουν όσοι, παρά κρίσεις, πανδημία, πληθωρισμό και ακριβό χρήμα, συνέχισαν να πληρώνουν κανονικά. Κι όμως, αυτοί σηκώνουν τελικά το βάρος κάθε παράτασης, κάθε αναστολής, κάθε πολιτικής υπεκφυγής ή όποιας μορφής λαϊκισμού (ειδικά τώρα με τις εκλογές). Γιατί όταν το κόστος του κινδύνου ανεβαίνει, ο λογαριασμός πάει ξανά στους ίδιους, φορολογούμενους και συνεπείς δανειολήπτες. Η κοινωνική προστασία πρέπει να υπάρχει και είναι αναγκαία για τους πραγματικά ευάλωτους. Όταν όμως η ανοχή γίνεται κανόνας, η συνέπεια μετατρέπεται σε αδικία.
