Significant Drop on Thursday at the CSE Amid Negative Climate in International Stock Markets

The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) suffered a significant drop on Thursday, influenced by the negative climate in international stock markets. The General Index closed at 260.53 points, down 1.21%, while the FTSE/CySE 20 recorded losses of 1.16%. Trading volume amounted to €287,839. The Main Market, Investment Companies and the Alternative Market fell, while the Hotel Index remained stable. The shares of Bank of Cyprus, Logicom, Dimitra Investment, Eurobank Cyprus and KEO attracted significant investment interest. Bank of Cyprus signed an agreement with the Cyprus Development Bank to acquire a portfolio of loans and deposits worth approximately €650 million.
