Seasonal Infections Rise at Makarios Hospital Pediatric Clinic: Caution Advised

An increase in seasonal infections, such as influenza and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), is being recorded at the Makarios Hospital Pediatric Clinic. The Clinic Director, Dr. Elena Papamichael, states that the clinic is not overcrowded, but a further increase in cases is expected in the coming days. Currently, one child is hospitalized with RSV, and four children are recovering from influenza A and other comorbidities. No coronavirus cases have been reported in recent days. The hospital is on full alert, with Intensive Care Units prepared to manage severe cases, and cooperation with other OKYPY hospitals is in place if needed. Dr. Papamichael advises parents to follow pediatricians' instructions and take preventive measures, such as good ventilation and personal hygiene.
