Scope Ratings: National Bank of Greece Receives BBB+ Credit Rating with Stable Outlook

Scope Ratings has assigned a BBB+ long-term credit rating with a stable outlook to the National Bank of Greece, the highest rating among Greek banks and one notch above the sovereign rating of Greece. This assessment reflects the bank’s strong balance sheet, resilient profitability, high capital reserves, as well as its funding position and liquidity. The National Bank of Greece’s cooperation with Scope, an approved European credit rating agency for ECB refinancing operations, strengthens its rating profile and position in European capital markets.
