School Shooting in Canada Leaves Ten Dead and Over 25 Injured

A horrific shooting at a school in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, Canada, has left at least ten people dead, including the alleged perpetrator, and over 25 injured. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, causing panic and placing Tumbler Ridge Secondary School and a neighboring elementary school on lockdown. Residents were urged to stay home for safety reasons. According to police, six people were found dead inside the school, while one more succumbed to their injuries during transport to the hospital. Two additional fatalities were discovered at a residence linked to the incident. The alleged shooter was also found dead within the school, with authorities reporting a “self-inflicted injury.” In total, nine people lost their lives in the attack, and more than 25 were injured. Two of the injured were airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has identified the alleged perpetrator, however, the motive remains unknown. Authorities are investigating the possibility of a second suspect, but there is no confirmed information at this time.
