Road Closures in Limassol Due to Marathon

Due to the Limassol Marathon, several roads in Limassol will be closed on the weekend of March 21-22, 2026. On Saturday, March 21st, the Corporate and Children's Marathon 5km will be held, starting at 9 a.m. from Epichosi. The roads of October 28th and Dighenis Akritas, as well as the coastal road from the intersection of Spyrou Araouzou – Independence Avenue to the traffic lights of October 28th – Dighenis Akritas will be closed from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. On Sunday, March 22nd, the Limassol Marathon will be held, starting at 7:15 a.m. from Epichosi. The route will include the coastal road, Franklin Roosevelt Avenue, the village of Asomatos, and Agias Sarantas Street. The entire coastal front will be closed to traffic from 6:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. The roads will be opened gradually as the athletes progress. The Police and the Municipality of Limassol will ensure the closures and the smooth running of the Marathon. Drivers are urged to be particularly careful, follow the instructions of the authorities, and use alternative routes.
