Rizokarpaso School: Roof Leaks, Windows Rotting, and Students Wading Through Mud – Presidential Commissioner Informs Children's Rights Commissioner

The Rizokarpaso school is facing serious infrastructure deficiencies, with leaks in the roof, defective windows, and students being forced to walk through muddy areas to reach their classrooms. The situation has deteriorated in recent years due to the occupation regime's ban on access to the school for Greek Cypriot administrators and technicians, hindering maintenance efforts. Presidential Commissioner Marios Hartsiotis informed Children's Rights Commissioner Elena Pericleous about the situation, and the two have scheduled a joint visit to the school before Easter, aiming to support the students and the enclaved. The school operates a kindergarten, elementary school, and six-class gymnasium, with a total of 47 students.
