Sofia, an 82-year-old student at the Evening Vocational High School of Rhodes, participated in the March 25th parade and moved the public. Her presence in the parade is a symbol of lifelong learning and active participation in society regardless of age. She stated she was deeply touched and wished everyone health, peace, and tranquility. The school principal, Nikos Oikonomos, expressed his pride in the school's participation in the parade, something that hadn't happened for many years. He pointed out that this is his last parade as principal, as he is about to retire. The participation of Mrs. Sofia in the parade was particularly noticeable, as she is an inspiration to all. Her story shows that learning and contributing to society have no age limits. The Minister of Tourism, Olga Kefalogianni, and the MP for the Dodecanese, Yannis Pappas, attended the celebratory events in Rhodes.
