Renowned Cypriot Painter and Writer Andreas Karagian Dies at 83

Cypriot painter and writer Andreas Karagian has passed away at the age of 83. Karagian, known for his erotic and sensual works, particularly male nudes, had been facing health issues recently. He graduated from medical school but turned to painting, studying in London and Stuttgart. He returned to Cyprus in 1978 and has since divided his time between Cyprus and Greece. He has exhibited his work in numerous solo and group exhibitions and represented Cyprus at the Venice Biennale in 2001. His works are found in significant museums and private collections in Cyprus, Greece, Germany, and England.
