A low-pressure system is expected to affect Cyprus tonight, bringing changes to the weather. Today, the weather will be initially clear, but will gradually become cloudy, with the possibility of local showers, mainly in the west and mountainous areas. Winds will be light to moderate, and the sea will be slightly rough. The temperature will reach 15 degrees Celsius inland, 17 degrees Celsius on the coast, and 6 degrees Celsius in the mountains. Tonight, rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected, with the possibility of hail during the storms. In the highest peaks of Troodos, sleet and possible snow are forecast. Winds will strengthen, especially on the coast, where they will be temporarily very strong. The sea will become rough. The temperature will drop to 8 degrees Celsius inland, 12 degrees Celsius on the coast, and 3 degrees Celsius in the mountains. On Wednesday, local showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue, with snow or sleet expected in the highest peaks of Troodos. On Thursday, the rains will be more sporadic. On Friday, the weather will improve and be mainly clear. The temperature will remain stable until Thursday, close to the average climatic values, but is expected to fall on Friday. Warnings mainly concern mountainous areas and the coast, where weather conditions will be more intense.
