Rain of Hirings at Paphos EOA - Licensing Department Staffed

The Paphos Provincial Self-Government Organization (EOAP) has made significant hires for its Licensing Department, recruiting 14 officers and two senior officers. This decision comes in response to the increased workload and delays experienced in issuing urban planning and building permits, causing dissatisfaction among professional and business organizations. The president of the EOAP, Charalambos Pittokopitis, described the development as crucial for the smooth operation of the organization, emphasizing that the immediate strengthening of the department will contribute to reducing pending applications and faster service to citizens. Furthermore, the temporary relocation of the Licensing Department and the Financial Department to a new building has been announced, in order to facilitate their operation during the expansion works at the EOAP's central offices. This move aims to avoid further delays and ensure an efficient working environment. In parallel, the issue of the 14 employees of the organization, whose contracts were to be terminated, has been resolved through coordinated efforts with the Ministry of Interior and the Paphos Municipality. The solution found ensures the continuation of their employment and the uninterrupted operation of the organization. Overall, the management of the EOAP expresses its optimism that the strengthening of staffing and organizational changes will lead to a more efficient and citizen-friendly licensing system, while also contributing to the development of the province.
