Raids on Barber Shops and Mini Markets in Limassol Lead to Arrests and Charges

Limassol Police have intensified checks on barber shops and mini markets managed by foreigners, as part of a targeted campaign. During the raids carried out yesterday, irregularities were found in five establishments and arrests were made. Two barber shops were reported for operating without a license, while three mini markets were reported for operating without a license and for selling tobacco products without a license. Two people were arrested for illegal employment and one employer was charged. In addition, an out-of-court settlement of 4,000 euros was issued for undeclared and illegal work. The checks will continue and be intensified in the coming period.
