Το υπουργείο Άμυνας του Κατάρ ανακοίνωσε σήμερα ότι ένα ελικόπτερο κατέπεσε στη θάλασσα, στα ανοικτά των ακτών του εμιράτου.
Σύμφωνα με την ενημέρωση, το ελικόπτερο αντιμετώπισε «τεχνική δυσλειτουργία» ενώ εκτελούσε «πτήση ρουτίνας».
Σε εξέλιξη βρίσκεται επιχείρηση έρευνας και διάσωσης στη θαλάσσια περιοχή, καθώς η τύχη των επιβαινόντων παραμένει άγνωστη μέχρι στιγμής.

Το Υπουργείο Εσωτερικών ανακοινώνει ότι εξειδικευμένες ομάδες του πραγματοποιούν επιχειρήσεις έρευνας και διάσωσης στα χωρικά ύδατα της χώρας, μετά από πτώση ελικοπτέρου, όπως ανέφερε το Υπουργείο Άμυνας.
Αυτές οι επιχειρήσεις διεξάγονται σε στενό συντονισμό από την Ομάδα Ναυτικής Έρευνας και Διάσωσης της Γενικής Διεύθυνσης Ασφάλειας Ακτών και Συνόρων, μαζί με την Διεθνή Ομάδα Έρευνας και Διάσωσης του Κατάρ της Δύναμης Εσωτερικής Ασφάλειας (Lekhwiya).

Qatar: Military Helicopter Crashes into Sea - 7 Missing
A Qatari military helicopter crashed into the sea off the coast of the emirate.
