Public Sector Unions and PASYDY Sign Cooperation Agreement

PASYDY and the trade unions of the public sector have signed a cooperation agreement, laying the foundations for institutionalized collaboration and mutual support on professional issues. The agreement aims to protect the rights of employees and strengthen their presence in dialogue with the government. Specifically, cooperation will focus on issues such as pensions and the ATA, while also extending to other professional matters. The Coordinating Body of Civil Servants (SY.FO.KY.) has been created to facilitate this cooperation. The body includes PASYDY, POED, OELMEK, OLTEK, as well as the Associations of Police and Fire Officers. Collaboration with the body will also be extended to the Associations of Army Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers. SY.FO.KY. will operate as a platform for formulating common policy and promoting collective action on issues of general interest, such as tax and pension reform. It will also provide mutual support and coordinated action to address labor issues affecting the members of each organization. PASYDY and the trade unions emphasize the importance of cooperation to strengthen the position of public sector employees and more effectively safeguard their interests, while maintaining the autonomy and independence of each organization.
