President Welcomes Establishment of National Clinical Documentation and Healthcare Quality Center

The President of the Republic welcomed the passing of the bill for the establishment of the National Clinical Documentation and Healthcare Quality Center, describing it as a significant reform and a crucial step towards modernizing and improving healthcare services. In his statement, he emphasized that the Government is consistently fulfilling its commitment to a patient-centered healthcare system, enhancing the quality, reliability, and safety of care. The Center, which was announced as a pre-election promise and is included in the government's programming for 2025, will function as an independent mechanism ensuring the provision of healthcare with unified, clear, and scientifically documented standards. This means it will define standards for proper medical care, monitor their implementation, and evaluate healthcare services across the country. The Center's goal is to ensure that all citizens receive the same quality and safe care everywhere. In addition, it will set quality criteria, support and train healthcare professionals, promoting transparency and continuous improvement of the healthcare system. President Christodoulides stressed that this reform strengthens citizens' trust in the healthcare system and substantially upgrades the services provided. Healthcare safety, he stated, is a top priority for the Government, and the establishment of the Center is concrete proof of this commitment.
