The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and the Turkish Cypriot leader, Tufan Erhurman, met with the UN Secretary-General's Personal Envoy, Maria Angela Holguin, at the residence of the UN Special Representative in Cyprus. President Christodoulides submitted a five-point proposal, which includes Confidence-Building Measures (CBMs), such as opening a crossing point on Ledis Street in Old Nicosia, as well as a proposal to open the Kokkinos roadblock, which is not accepted by the Turkish Cypriot side. The President expressed concerns about the four points raised by Erhurman, particularly regarding timelines and guarantees for the outcome of the negotiations. He emphasized that the Greek Cypriot side seeks to resume talks from where they left off in Cran Montana, safeguarding the gains of the negotiations.
