President Christodoulides: Opening of Checkpoints to Facilitate Daily Life for All Cypriots

The President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, has expressed his government's readiness to open the checkpoints that were previously agreed upon, with the aim of facilitating the daily lives of both Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots. He referred to specific proposals for opening checkpoints in Kaimakli and Mia Milia, but emphasized that others, such as those in Athienou-Aglantzia or Kokkina, must also be opened to serve both communities. President Christodoulides also mentioned that efforts have been made to improve the checkpoint in Agios Dometios, while reiterating that the government is evaluating all proposals from local authorities.
