Potential Legal Clash Between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos Over OAKA Stadium

Olympiacos wants to move to OAKA stadium from the summer due to renovation work at “G. Karaiskakis” aiming to increase its capacity. However, Panathinaikos' exclusive use contract for the stadium until 2027 creates obstacles. Olympiacos needs Panathinaikos' consent to use OAKA, otherwise it will go to court to challenge the validity of the contract, as Kifisia did in the past. Kifisia was rejected by the courts due to lack of urgency, while Olympiacos had supported Kifisia in order to abolish the OAKA-Panathinaikos contract. Panathinaikos appears optimistic about the legality of its contract, while Olympiacos states it is determined to pursue the matter legally if no agreement is reached. A meeting between Olympiacos representatives and Yannis Vroutsis has already taken place regarding the issue.
