Positive Sign for Cyprus Stock Exchange in Second Trading Session of 2026

The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) closed with a positive sign in its second trading session of 2026, although the increase was negligible. The General Index closed at 281.06 points, up 0.01%, while the value of transactions amounted to €276,964. The FTSE/CySE 20 index remained stable at 170.49 points. The only increase was recorded in the Alternative Market, with a rise of 0.24%. In contrast, the indices of Investments (-0.62%), the Main Market (-0.11%) and Hotels (-5.20%) fell. The shares of Bank of Cyprus, Demetra Holdings, Vasiliko Cement Works, Lordos Hotels and Pandora Investments attracted a large part of investor interest. In total, 8 shares moved upwards, 4 downwards and 4 remained unchanged, with the number of transactions reaching 111. At the same time, the CSE announced the extension of the suspension of trading of the shares of Mr. Pengu Public Company Ltd (NEW Market). The suspension of trading continues due to the non-submission and publication of the company's financial statements (Semi-Annual Financial Report for the period ended 30/06/2024, Annual Financial Report for the year ended 31/12/2024 and Semi-Annual Financial Report for the period ended 30/06/2025). The suspension will be valid until March 9, 2026, unless the company complies with its obligations.
