Police Conduct Island-Wide Operations, Make Three Arrests

The Cyprus Police conducted extensive preventative operations across the island during the previous night, aiming to prevent criminal activity and protect citizens. The operations included increased police presence in key areas and targeted checks. During the operations, three individuals were arrested for various offenses, including causing a road collision, possession of drugs, driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, illegal stay, and outstanding warrants. In addition, five vehicles were impounded. Checks were carried out both in premises and on the road network, where more than 650 checks were performed and 197 traffic violations were recorded, mainly for speeding and traffic signal violations. These operations are part of a broader and ongoing preventative plan by the Police, aimed at strengthening citizens' sense of security and combating crime.
