Police Announce Traffic Arrangements for Cypriot Presidency Inauguration

The Cyprus Police announced a series of measures to ensure the smooth running of the inauguration ceremony of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which will take place on January 7, 2026, at the building of the Cyprus Theatre Organisation (CTO) in Nicosia. The measures include parking bans on several streets around the CTO, such as Demostheni Severi Street, Gr. Auxentiou Street, and others, as well as in the underground parking areas of the old GSP stadium. Road closures will be in effect from 2:30 PM in the area, with full access control. Police urge drivers to comply with the regulations and the instructions of police officers. Furthermore, by order of the Minister of Transport, the use of drones is strictly prohibited in the wider area of the CTO and the Conference Centre throughout the Presidency.
