Persian Resigns as Head of Fiscal Council

Michalis Persian has announced his resignation as President of the Fiscal Council. He stated that the decision is based on personal and practical reasons, as well as the upcoming end of his term. Mr. Persian emphasized that there are no political dimensions to his decision and that he wishes to ensure a smooth transition and the completion of important tasks of the Council. He expressed his gratitude to the executive branch, the Ministry of Finance, and the Finance Committee of the Parliament for their excellent cooperation. He believes that the quality of the Council's members and staff will ensure the continuation of its work without problems. Mr. Persian has held the position since 2022 with a six-year term.
