The targeted online tourism campaign for the province of Famagusta has yielded excellent results, according to PASYXE Famagusta President Panagiotis Konstantinou. This success is attributed to the close cooperation between the public and private sectors, as emphasized by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Kostas Koumis, during the presentation of the results in Ayia Napa. The campaign, which has been ongoing for two years, focuses on 8 key tourist markets. The Deputy Minister of Tourism highlighted the importance of harmonious collaboration for success in tourism and expressed hope for continued cooperation in the future. The current campaign focuses on promoting the free area of Famagusta and exchanging views on improving results in 2026. Mr. Konstantinou stated that this collaboration has proven its effectiveness and expressed hope for increased funding to achieve even better results. The campaign includes the creation and promotion of videos, advertising banners, and publications to selected audiences, aiming to attract travelers interested in destinations similar to Famagusta. Furthermore, the need to extend the tourist season beyond the summer months, specifically towards the November-March period, was emphasized. The support of local authorities and the Deputy Ministry of Tourism is considered crucial for achieving this goal.
