Parliamentary Concern over Ktizo Scheme. Hopes for Loan Provision from KFIKB

The Parliamentary Committee on Refugees expressed concern over the progress of the Ktizo scheme implementation due to the financial difficulties of many owners in covering the required costs. The committee is hoping for potential loans to beneficiaries from the Central Equal Burden Distribution Fund (KFIKB). According to information, the KFIKB is awaiting the final guide for the scheme in order to consider providing loans. Progress on projects in Phase A is considered satisfactory, with the expected delivery of two apartment buildings by the summer of 2026. However, there are still apartment buildings that have not been evacuated. An amount of approximately €1 million from donations has already been allocated to support beneficiaries of Phase A. MPs expressed their concerns about the slow progress of Phase B, as many beneficiaries are struggling financially.
