Panathinaikos Eyeing Croatian Duo for Midfield Reinforcement

Panathinaikos is considering the acquisition of two Croatian footballers, Marcelo Brozovic and Toni Fruk, with the aim of strengthening their midfield. Brozovic, 33, is considered an experienced and capable midfielder, however, his high salary in Saudi Arabia is an obstacle. For his return to Europe, the Greens estimate that around 4 million euros could be sufficient. At the same time, Panathinaikos is focusing on the younger Toni Fruk of Rijeka, with the aim of modernizing the center of the field. Contacts with the Rijeka management are at an advanced stage, and while initially Rijeka was asking for 10 million euros, the selling price seems to be settling at 8 million. The addition of Brozovic would bring experience and leadership, while Fruk would provide freshness and new ideas to the center. Rafa Benitez is said to have requested midfield reinforcement, and the Panathinaikos administration is trying to meet the coach's needs. The case of the two Croatian footballers is expected to develop in the coming days, with Panathinaikos trying to negotiate the best possible deals. The success of the transfers will depend on the ability of the Greens to convince the players and their teams to accept their proposals.
