Pafos Spokesperson: "If Davit Luíz doesn't make it, it will be a big loss for us"

Pafos spokesperson Christoforos Matthaiou spoke on SPOR FM 95 about the team's recent defeat to Olympiacos, describing it as the worst performance he has seen. He apologized to the fans for the display and stressed that the team did not meet the demands of the match. Matthaiou stated that the defeat was due to a combination of factors, such as lack of concentration and many mistakes, but avoided giving technical explanations, leaving the matter to the coaches. He acknowledged that injuries affected the team, but they did not want to use this as an excuse. Regarding the new coach, he expressed confidence that the team can correct its mistakes and continue towards its goals. He emphasized that the performance is more important than the result, although he recognized the quality of Olympiacos. Furthermore, he referred to the injured players Luiz, Goldar and Koreia, expressing fears that they will struggle to recover in time for the match against Chelsea. He stated that there are no advanced plans for transfers, unless the injuries are long-term. Finally, he informed that the match with Chelsea will be held in front of 2500 spectators and expressed hope for the support of the fans.
