Περισσότεροι από 60 άνθρωποι σκοτώθηκαν και δεκάδες άλλοι τραυματίστηκαν την Παρασκευή στο Σουδάν εξαιτίας πλήγματος σε κέντρο υγείας στο Νταρφούρ, όπως ενημέρωσε ο Παγκόσμιος Οργανισμός Υγείας (ΠΟΥ).
Σύμφωνα με τα στοιχεία που έδωσε στη δημοσιότητα ο ΠΟΥ, τουλάχιστον 64 άνθρωποι έχασαν τη ζωή τους κι άλλοι 89 τραυματίστηκαν κατά την επίθεση εναντίον του κέντρου υγείας του Ελ Νταεΐν, μιας δομής δευτεροβάθμιας φροντίδας υγείας.
Ο πόλεμος που μαίνεται μεταξύ του σουδανικού στρατού και των παραστρατιωτικών Δυνάμεων Ταχείας Υποστήριξης (ΔΤΥ) έχει κλιμακωθεί τους τελευταίους μήνες, με επιδρομές drones σε κατοικημένες περιοχές.
