Official Announcement Regarding the Earthquake - Further Seismic Activity Possible

The Geological Survey Department announced that an earthquake of magnitude 3.2 on the Richter scale was recorded in the wider area of Agia Marina Kelokedaron, 23 kilometers east of the city of Paphos, with a focal depth of 25 kilometers. The earthquake was felt in the provinces of Paphos and Limassol. This earthquake is related to the two strong earthquakes (5.2 and 5.3 Richter) that occurred on November 12, 2025, and the subsequent seismic sequence that has recorded more than 300 earthquakes in the same area. The Department reports that the sequence is evolving smoothly, but the possibility of further felt earthquakes in the future cannot be ruled out.
