Night of Terror with Double 'Hit' by Burglars

Published January 19, 2026, 19:23

Two burglaries shook Ayia Napa and Paralimni in the early hours of the morning, with the perpetrators making off with a significant amount of money. In Ayia Napa, three hooded men broke into a jewelry store, forcing the security shutters and smashing the windows, and stole diamonds and other jewelry worth over €1 million. In Paralimni, the perpetrators managed to enter a house through the garage, without forcing any entrances, and steal €100,000. Police are investigating both cases, studying security camera footage and searching for the car used by the burglars in Ayia Napa. The burglars appear to have been well-prepared and aware of the security conditions of the stores and homes they targeted. The successive burglaries have caused concern among residents and businesses in the area, while police have intensified their presence and patrols to prevent new criminal activities. Effectively tackling crime and ensuring the safety of citizens are priorities for the authorities.
