Nexans: Successful Sea Trial of Cables for GSI Alleviates Technical Feasibility Concerns

Nexans announced the successful completion of a sea trial for the underwater cables of the Greece-Cyprus interconnector project (GSI), confirming the technical feasibility of the project. The trial was conducted at a depth of 3,000 meters and included the installation and retrieval of cable sections, as well as high-voltage electrical tests. The results of the trial will be analyzed to ensure the quality and certification of the project. Nexans emphasizes that the successful trial strengthens confidence in the implementation of the GSI, one of the largest and deepest underwater cable systems globally.
