New Wave of Bad Weather Coming from Italy - Weather Forecaster Reports

A new wave of bad weather is expected to affect Cyprus from Italy, following the passage of the previous bad weather from Greece. Weather forecaster Andreas Hadjigeorgiou stated that the intensity of the rain will increase during the evening hours of Thursday, with the possibility of thunderstorms and hail on the coast. The bad weather currently affecting Cyprus is due to low pressure that originated in Greece and is weakening. However, from Friday evening, a new low pressure from northeastern Italy will bring rain and isolated thunderstorms, lasting until Saturday afternoon. The weather is expected to improve on Saturday afternoon, but there is uncertainty about the severity of the phenomena and it has not been decided whether a warning will be issued. After Saturday, the pressure is expected to weaken, with a rise in temperature on Sunday and Monday. The temperature is expected to range around 15 degrees Celsius on the coast and inland, and 5 degrees in the mountains. Possible formation of frost in the mountains on Friday night and during the day. Winds will be strong to very strong on the coast on Thursday, but will weaken later. After Friday, winds above 5 Beaufort are not expected.
