New Archaeological Museum of Cyprus: Delivery in 2027, Inauguration in 2029

The new Archaeological Museum of Cyprus is expected to be delivered in the second half of 2027 and inaugurated in 2029. This was announced following an inspection of the construction site by the Parliamentary Control Committee, with the presence of the Deputy Minister of Culture, Vasiliki Kassianidou. The project, particularly complex and demanding, involves the use of specialized materials from abroad. After delivery, approximately 18 months will be required for the transfer and installation of exhibits, delaying the full operation of the museum. The Deputy Minister of Culture emphasized the unique character of the project and the promotion of Cyprus's cultural heritage, while also mentioning the utilization of the old museum.
