Netherlands: 15 Arrests for ISIS Propaganda via TikTok

Fifteen people have been arrested in the Netherlands on suspicion of spreading propaganda in support of the Islamic State (ISIS) via the TikTok platform and attempting to recruit people to commit terrorist attacks. The arrests relate to a TikTok account that disseminated ISIS propaganda with Dutch subtitles. The posts on TikTok, some of which had over 100,000 views, encouraged people to join ISIS and glorified the group's 'martyrs'. The suspects are 13 Syrians and 4 Dutch nationals, with some holding dual citizenship and four being minors. The arrests took place across the Netherlands, following the arrest last month of an individual described by prosecutors as the main suspect. Authorities are investigating how the suspects used TikTok to spread their propaganda and recruit potential terrorists.
