Ο πρωθυπουργός του Ισραήλ, Μπενιαμίν Νετανιάχου, δήλωσε σε συνέντευξη Τύπου ότι το Ιράν δεν διαθέτει πλέον την ικανότητα εμπλουτισμού ουρανίου ούτε ανάπτυξης βαλλιστικών πυραύλων, προειδοποιώντας παράλληλα ότι οι επιχειρήσεις θα συνεχιστούν «όσο χρειαστεί».
Παράλληλα, χαρακτήρισε το Ισραήλ «ισχυρότερο από ποτέ», υποστηρίζοντας πως το Ιράν αντίστοιχα είναι «ασθενέστερο από ποτέ».
Έθεσε εκ νέου τους στόχους της κυβέρνησής του. Σκοπός είναι:
- Να «εξολοθρεύσει πλήρως» το πυρηνικό πρόγραμμα του Ιράν
- Να «εξολοθρεύσει πλήρως» το πρόγραμμα βαλλιστικών πυραύλων του Ιράν
- Να δημιουργηθούν συνθήκες που θα επιτρέψουν στους Ιρανούς να «πάρουν τη μοίρα τους στα χέρια τους».
Την ίδια ώρα, ανέφερε ότι το Ισραήλ και οι Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες «προστατεύουν ολόκληρη τη Μέση Ανατολή – και τολμώ να πω, ολόκληρο τον κόσμο».
Μετά από 20 ημέρες μαχών «κερδίζουμε και το Ιράν αποδεκατίζεται» και σημείωσε πως η Τεχεράνη έχει υποστεί.
«Υπάρχουν χερσαίες δυνατότητες»
«Είναι πολύ νωρίς για να πούμε αν οι Ιρανοί θα βγουν στους δρόμους. Δεν μπορείς να κάνεις επανάσταση από αέρος. Πρέπει να υπάρχει και ένα επίγειο στοιχείο. Υπάρχουν πολλές δυνατότητες για ένα χερσαίο στοιχείο, δεν θα μοιραστώ ποιες είναι», δήλωσε στους δημοσιογράφους.

Referring to recent clashes, he stated that Israel is winning and Iran is weakening significantly. Netanyahu noted that there are possibilities for ground operations, without providing further details. He expressed doubts about an immediate uprising of the Iranian people, emphasizing that a revolution requires a ground element in addition to air strikes. This statement comes at a time of tension between Israel and Iran, following a series of attacks and retaliations. Israel's position is that Iran poses a threat to regional and global security due to its nuclear program and support for terrorist organizations.
