The National Guard today presented the new H-10 Poseidon unmanned aircraft, manufactured by the Cypriot company Swarmly Aero, at the Patroklos Kokkinos camp in Mosfiloti. The ceremony was attended by members of the House of Representatives Defense Committee and the Ministry of Defense. The Chief of the National Guard, Emmanouil Theodorou, expressed his gratitude to Swarmly Aero for the donation of the drones, which is a significant investment in national security and proof of the possibility of domestic production of defense systems. He noted that the Poseidon is already being used in real conditions on the Ukrainian front. The H-10 Poseidon drones can fly at an altitude of 5 kilometers and at a distance of 50 kilometers, day and night, and have observation, targeting and target correction capabilities. They can transmit data in real time to all the National Guard's artillery batteries, providing an accurate picture of the position and movement of targets. In addition, the drones have low observability, making them difficult to impossible to detect by enemy forces, due to their limited thermal footprint and design that limits the reflection of electromagnetic waves. Swarmly Aero is the first Cypriot company to export such systems, highlighting the potential of the Cypriot defense industry.
