NASA: Next Moon Mission Launch on March 6

NASA has set March 6 as the launch date for the Artemis II mission to the Moon, following a critical test of the rocket. However, an agency official warned that the completion of final preparations could cause further delays. NASA completed a 50-hour countdown test, fueling the rocket with approximately 730,000 gallons of propellant, without encountering the hydrogen leaks that had caused problems in the previous test. The Artemis II mission will carry four astronauts around the Moon and back to Earth. The original launch date had been postponed due to problems in the refueling process of the Space Launch System rocket. The Artemis II mission is a precursor to NASA's planned crewed lunar landing with the Artemis III mission, which is scheduled for 2028.
