Multiple Injuries Revealed in Forensic Examination of 17-Year-Old's Death in Serres

The forensic examination into the death of a 17-year-old in Serres revealed multiple and visible injuries throughout the body, including head trauma and rupture of the spleen, heart, and aorta. The 16-year-old, charged with intentional homicide with potential malice, claimed the fight was minor and the death was due to a health issue, stating he threw “two or three punches.” The incident occurred after the victim sent a message to the 16-year-old's girlfriend. Initial tension subsided, but the 17-year-old's friends did not realize the severity of the situation and took him home, where he died in the basement. The 17-year-old's disappearance was reported by his parents, and his sister found him unconscious. The 16-year-old is expected to testify on Friday. The suspect's family speaks of a “bad moment” and expresses the young man's remorse.
