Mitsotakis: EU Must Be Prepared with a Plan in Case of Attack

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized the need for the European Union to be prepared with a plan in case of an attack on European territory, referring to developments in the Middle East. He praised the solidarity shown by Greece and other EU member states towards Cyprus, but stressed the need for preparedness. He also referred to the economic impacts of the conflicts, emphasizing the need for a 'toolkit' to support households and businesses. On the domestic front, Mr. Mitsotakis mentioned the signing of a new Collective Labor Agreement for the food sector, covering approximately 400,000 workers and providing for wage increases, as well as a universal ban on the sale of tobacco products and alcohol to minors.
