Minister of Justice Visits Police Units - "Everyone Belongs to a Unified Pyramid"

The Minister of Justice and Public Order, Kostas Fytiris, visited various police units in Paphos and Limassol, as well as the Port and Maritime Police. During the visits, he met with police officers of all ranks to be informed about their work, the challenges they face, and their needs. The Minister emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity among police officers, describing the force as a "unified and cohesive pyramid". He stressed that teamwork and communication are essential for the effective and safe performance of their duties. Furthermore, Mr. Fytiris announced that a study will be completed by April 2026, aiming to strengthen the rule of law and meritocracy within the Police. He stated that the continuous recording of problems and the search for solutions are crucial for improving operational readiness. The Minister of Justice pledged to address labor issues honestly and calmly, with respect for institutions. To this end, he has created a direct communication line with police officers, which will remain open to ensure accurate and objective information. He emphasized that enhancing citizen safety and trust in the Police remain the state's top priorities.
