Mexico Becoming Key Oil Supplier to Cuba Amid Venezuela Developments

The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, stated that her country has not increased oil deliveries to Cuba but noted that, due to developments in Venezuela, Mexico is becoming a significant supplier of crude oil to Cuba. This comes after the US naval blockade of Venezuela and the arrest of President Nicolás Maduro. Sheinbaum emphasized that Mexico has been supplying Cuba with oil for years, either through contracts or as humanitarian aid. US President Donald Trump claimed that the US will secure up to 50 million barrels of oil from Venezuela.
